UK Ticket Wins EuroMillions Jackpot

Last Updated: Friday 30th March 2012, 15:59

EuroMillions results 07-02-2012Last night saw the first draw of the week take place for the EuroMillions and with a quadruple rollover jackpot on offer to win, ticket holders were yesterday hoping to match the numbers drawn to win this impressive top prize. The results from this Tuesday night draw show that in fact one UK ticket holder matched the numbers drawn to win the EuroMillions jackpot that was worth £45,160,171.

The results from last night's draw were 3, 15, 17, 28, 33 and the Lucky Stars were 2 and 4. In total last night there were over 2.2 million players that won a prize and quite a substantial number (over 1.2 million) won the smallest prize available by matching just two of the numbers drawn.

This is the third EuroMillions jackpot win of this year and it is in fact the second top prize win by a ticket sold in the UK. The first EuroMillions top prize win by a UK ticket holder in 2012 took place on the 20th January when a couple from Mansfield, Gareth and Catherine Bull won just over £40 million. Last night saw the second jackpot win for a UK EuroMillions ticket holder, so the question is will another UK ticket holder for this lottery match the EuroMillions results to make it three UK EuroMillions jackpot wins in a row anytime soon?

It is not yet known if this EuroMillions jackpot has be won by a single ticket holder or a syndicate, but whoever the lucky winner is will be waking up this morning very happy indeed and they have now won the seventh largest jackpot ever won in the UK.
