EuroMillions Draw Creates 26 UK Millionaires on One Night

Last Updated: Monday 25th November 2024, 11:36

Friday’s special EuroMillions draw saw 26 UK players win £1 million, while the jackpot rolled over to hit £173 million.

Two huge prize funds came together to turn Friday night into one of the biggest EuroMillions draws of all time, with the jackpot worth £161 million and a European Millionaire Maker raffle taking place.

The European Millionaire Maker guaranteed that there would be 100 millionaires across Europe. To land £1 million, you had to match one of the 100 winning codes exactly, with all the letters and numbers in the correct position.

Out of the 100 winners, 25 ended up coming from the UK. The regular Millionaire Maker draw also gave away one prize of £1 million as usual, making it a magical night for lots of ticket holders.

In the main EuroMillions draw, the winning numbers were 10, 11, 12, 29 and 31, plus Lucky Stars 8 and 11. More than 1.3 million UK players picked up prizes, including two participants who matched five numbers and one Lucky Star to get £110,304 each. Take a look at the draw breakdown to find out about how many winners there were in each category.

If you haven’t got round to checking your ticket yet, don’t forget to do so before it’s too late! The EuroMillions Checker makes it easy for you to review your numbers from the main draw and your raffle code (the same code was entered into the UK Millionaire Maker and the European Millionaire Maker on Friday).

Jackpot Approaches New Record

Friday’s rollover left the jackpot at a staggering £173 million, setting up the possibility of a record win in the next couple of weeks.

The biggest win in UK lottery history stands at £195.7 million and went to an anonymous ticket holder back in July 2022. Another couple of draws without a winner would likely take the current jackpot past that high mark and up to the game’s limit.

The EuroMillions cap is set at €250 million, which converts to around £208 million. Once it reaches this limit, no more prize money can be added on top. Instead, it will be diverted to the Match 5 + 1 Lucky Star tier, and the jackpot will remain at the same size until it is won. If it still hasn’t been won after five draws at €250 million, the jackpot will be split between players in the next category down.

Of course, anyone taking part in the next draw will hope to land the jackpot before it hits the cap. You can buy tickets from an authorised retailer or choose your numbers online.
