UK Lottery Player Wins Third-Biggest EuroMillions Jackpot Ever

A lottery player who bought their ticket in the UK has won the country’s third-biggest EuroMillions prize of all time, and the biggest UK win of 2026 so far.
The EuroMillions jackpot prize was standing at £181 million until last night, when it was won by an extremely fortuitous individual. We know nothing about the winner yet as they still need to step forward and make their claim.

The EuroMillions results consisted of numbers 12, 14, 27, 44, 50, and Lucky Stars 4 and 12. EuroMillions requires players to pick five numbers from 1 to 50 and two Lucky Stars ranging from 1 to 12. This time round, there were almost 3 million prizes awarded to lottery players across every country and region where the popular game is played. With 774,801 prizes won in the main draw in the UK, there were substantial winnings other than the jackpot including a player who matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star for a total of £355,264.90. Another player won £16,000 by matching the main five numbers without the Lucky Stars.
How the Jackpot Got So Big
The huge jackpot is the result of a EuroMillions Superdraw that took place in a 20th February drawing where the top prize increased to £113 million. Since nobody won that, the Superdraw jackpot had rolled on and reached a staggering £181 million. That’s not the highest it could have reached as Superdraws allow the main EuroMillions jackpot to rise as high as €250 million (£218 million).
Lottery officials are now urging all players who bought tickets for the recent EuroMillions drawing to check them carefully. The lucky winner either doesn’t yet know that they’ve won, is still reeling from the epic news, or trying to get some financial affairs in order before making an official claim. They have not yet revealed themselves and UK winners of multi-million pound jackpots can choose to remain anonymous.
The Next EuroMillions Drawing
The next jackpot takes place this coming Friday 13th and has rolled back to an estimated £14 million due to the recent win. Lower jackpots can often deter players from taking part, but they ought remember that £14 million is still life-changing.
